I am working on energy storage in batteries. The aim is to increase the energy storage of lithium-ion batteries by using hydrogenated Silicon anode material on standard copper foil to replace conventional graphite.In this project new anode material being tested on coin cell lithium-ion batteries.Production of the coin cells is a complex series of application; it starts with preparing the electrodes and electrolyte, punching separators to designed shapes and parameters following with assembly and crimping. All of the materials should be stored in the glove box filled with Argon gas, in order to minimize the contact with oxygen. After to assembly of the coin-cell, post-mortem investigations held to examine the cycling performance of these batteries.
