# Together – A Week of Connection in France
In April 2026, I had the opportunity to participate in the Erasmus+ Training Course “Together” in Laguépie, a small town in southern France. What began as a journey across airports, trains, and countries quickly became something much more meaningful: a week of learning, sharing, and building connections with people from all over Europe.
The project brought together young people from different backgrounds, cultures, languages, and life experiences. While our countries and stories were different, we all arrived with the same curiosity: to learn from one another and explore what it means to create inclusive and welcoming communities.
Throughout the week, we took part in workshops, group discussions, creative activities, reflection circles, and collaborative projects. We explored topics such as communication, participation, group dynamics, inclusion, and community building. Rather than simply talking about these ideas, we practiced them every day through the way we lived in the shared house and worked together.
One of the things that impressed me most was how quickly strangers became friends. Whether we were discussing important social issues, sharing cultural traditions, exploring the town, dancing together, or simply talking late into the night, every interaction became an opportunity to learn. One of my favourite memories was spending time by the river with participants from across Europe, sharing stories and laughter. It was a simple moment, but it reflected the spirit of the entire project: people connecting naturally, respectfully, and openly.
The training course showed me that diversity is not something that separates us—it is something that enriches us. Listening to people with different perspectives helped me better understand not only their experiences, but also my own. Despite coming from different countries, we discovered how much we actually had in common: our hopes, our challenges, our dreams, and our desire to contribute positively to the world around us.
Projects like this remind us that peace is built through understanding. When people have the chance to meet, exchange ideas, and form genuine friendships across borders, stereotypes begin to disappear and trust begins to grow. In a world that sometimes feels divided, these human connections are more important than ever.
I am incredibly grateful to Erasmus+ for making experiences like this possible. The programme creates opportunities not only to travel and learn, but also to build bridges between people and cultures. For many participants, including myself, these projects leave a lasting impact that continues long after the week itself has ended.
I arrived in Laguépie expecting an interesting training course. I left with new knowledge, unforgettable memories, friendships across Europe, and a renewed belief in the importance of dialogue, understanding, and community.
If there is one lesson I will take away from this experience, it is this: when people come together with openness, respect, and curiosity, extraordinary things can happen. And sometimes, the strongest connections are formed between people who were complete strangers just a few days before.
