Everybody told me that he/she travelled a lot in their ERASMUS exchange semester. And the EUROSTAR is going directly from PARIS to LONDON within ~ 2hours. So let's go there!
The EUROSTAR departs from the Gare du Nord in Paris and I arrived on Thursday night at London King's Cross, where Harry Potter always left to Hogwarts! The 5 days in London were so much fun as the city has so many things to offer, like fish & chips nearly everywhere, good (window-)shopping places (safe money for the semester haha) and museums with free entrance. So the perfect trip for ERASMUS students who study in Paris and want to explore Europe :-)
I had so much fun meeting some new people in SOHO, best place to go out for a CIDER and experience the HALLOWEEN culture there. Just insane how crazy they are with this spooky festival.
The highlight was the HYDE PARK where I watched several squirrels eating from your hand if you have some bread with you and gazing the sunset over the lake in the park. After some days in England I really missed Paris and the people here and all above speaking French which I train a lot with the OLS from ERASMUS (online language training tool) .
Alltogether I am so happy that I got out of my comfort zone and went to Paris, because English is no high wall to climb over for me like French is and I am certain that the day will come my French is fluent and I can discuss about european fiscal law systems in French and feel so proud!
