I'm in love!

What to do when classes are cancelled? Fall in love with Paris!

Got up in the morning to go to university - just to find out the class is not taking place - at that moment I didn't know what a wonderful day was coming towards me...

Henrik and I decided to go to the bank to make some administrative stuff, just to find out the branch is closed on Monday ;-) Okay- near Notre Dame so let's explore the city, it was way too early to just skip this day by going home!

Shakespeare & Company: This tiny bookstore in Rue de la Bûcherie (if you're German - it's pronounced "Büschriiie" not Bücherie haha) which has been part of some famous movies offers a wide range of the best books all offered in English. Then we just had to cross the river to see the beautiful...

.. Cathédrale Notre-Dame! We went upstairs after 2 hours (which we spent in a Starbucks nearby as we reserved online for 2pm) and enjoyed a stunning view over the city! I also saw the Sacre-Coeur far far away on the hill, surveilling the city in all its holy brightness. Trying to save all those impressions we stopped for having lunch at a delicious Burrito restau when the lovely Samira joined us.

Together we passed the historical Bibliotèque Saint-Genviève to enter the Panthéon :-) Unbelievable how beautiful ancient religious paintings are. I fell in love with them when I first explored the French-art Gallery of middle-age in the Louvre but still... I can't get enough! Scenes from Holy Genviève at the walls, 10 meters high and antique pillars as in ancient Rome. The Panthèon has buried Voltaire, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Marie Curie and her husband and many more great people in the Crypte downstairs.

The grande finale was when we entered the Jardin du Luxembourg. Palm trees, Mediterranean plants, water fountains and the Palais du Luxembourg made me feel like I was in the perfect city I've never dreamt before but just felt right as it was. I've wished to live in this amazing city when I realized that this dream already became reality ;-)  #pureloveforthiscity

As I also have some friends who aren’t capable of speaking German I've decided to blog in English - please apologize grammar errors ;-)

J'???? tous les jardins à Paris #notredame #Jardins #paris #students #Erasmus #Lawstudent #explore #France
