After  wonderful 5 months in Norway for my bachelorthesis I was sure that I wanted to go abroad another time. But what is the best place? 

I wanted to find a city/institute where research has a high level of importance. You probably should know that I am studying the Master degree program Molecular Biotechnology at the FH Campus Wien. For my final thesis I was searching for the perfect spot. Maybe Spain? Great Britan? Or just boring Germany? 

Finally, my heart decided and after a great Skype interview with my potential supervisor I decided to go to Heidelberg. Have you ever been there before? For me it was the first time when I arrived with my parents beginning of january, 2017. 

The first days we spend with shopping and also sightseeing. And then my first working day at the German Cancer Research Center (dkfz) had come. I will never forget the when I met all my colleagues (of course I didn´t remember a single name when introducing them to me the first time) and walked through the huge building with 8 floors. The thought of all the brilliant minds located in one insitute let me feel like a small kid. 

I was absolutely ready for all the adventures to come!
