In 2004, the National Centre for Tumor Diseases in Heidelberg (NCT) was founded by several organisations including the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ), where I am doing my internship. I am not a fan of running, yet it was clear from the beginning that I had to participate in the charity run, which is organized by the NCT annually. Even though it had at 6pm 35°C,  I started together with two friends at the run to donate some money for cancer research. The atmosphere was overwhelming. People of every age participated to do their bit for a life wihout cancer. Many groups had created their own T-shirts which looked abolutely great. After the run a band was playing and  there were culinary delights from all over the world  In my opinion such events should take place more often.
