The port of Rotterdam where old boats float looks very cute and is the total opposite of the modern architecture there: the cube houses, the worldtrade center, the Erasmus bridge, etc. Personally, I enjoyed the big market hall the most. There are lots of different food stands eg. spices, oil, peanut butter, fish, meat, cheese of course, coconut, donuts, muffins, etc. etc. The sellers are very friendly and you can try a lot! :-D Come by train: it just takes you 20 minutes from the Hague and you arrive at the impressive railway station "Rotterdam Center". It is the perfect starting point for a city walk.
